I just realized that the Pilot Material is in the archive folder. Not sure if you guys checked that folder previously, but the images are there in the Animation Art archives. The pages are not there, but I think Kyle has to put it into the current design anways. Wish I had known that…it would have saved time.

I had some time to work on the site today so I’ve gone ahead and done some clean up and worked on my layout a bit. Thanks for all the help you’ve given me so far, there is still a bit more to do and I’m hoping you can help me sort out the two larger remaining jobs, and then whip up a few buttons for me too.

I’ve uploaded all the scanned and watermarked images for the pilot episode. What this needs now is a smart way to view all of the pages. I’d like this to be kind of like a reader, whereby people can flip through the pages in order. I also uploaded the old html files (in the old site format) so that you could see how it was done before.

I apologise unreservedly for butting in here to the outstanding work that you & Kyle are doing! 
But, could I take the liberty, Mark, of referring you to the Scripts subsection I’ve put together:

When I put that together, I wanted to allow the ability to jump to a particular page of a script, and also navigate within a script itself, hence the “Previous” and “Next” pages. I’m embarassed to confess I can’t remember how these materials were displayed before, but just thought I’d stick my oar in and point that layout out to you - I hope that’s OK.
There’s loads more of those images, Mark - these were on a CD-R that Matt copied for MannyC:

Kyle what are your thoughts about how to display this?
For my section I’d prefer the pilot material viewer to be smaller in size so that people don’t have to scroll up and down to read the sheets, and I don’t want to have to load a new web page every time someone is ready to flip to the next sheet. I’d prefer for just the sheet itself to change. Do you know of a way to do that?
For the animation sheets, we should prioritize the uploading. Obviously we should start with watermarking each sheet and sizing them to be consistent with the cel gallery.

I had more time tonight to work on the site so I searched for a script to handle the viewer, and found a sweet one that was dead easy to use.
Check out two of the production sections that are now good to go, and please let me know if you have any problems viewing it, and what version of explorer/firefox etc. you’re using.
Anyone using a MAC please let me know if you have problems too.

Thats cool buddy, I was just getting round to replying. Unfortunately buttons is probably all I would have had time to do for you. Im still overloaded with work at the moment.
I will do the buttons this evening after work.. If you have anything else, at least for the next few couple of weeks, I may advise you see if anyone else is able to help you out.

Those look really good, Mark - although stylistically speaking they are at complete odds with the way other such things are displayed on the site, they nonetheless work fine for me!
If I had a couple of constructive comments, they would be that, for the Pilot Material, there’s no way that I can see of “jumping” to a particular page - if I wanted to look at, say, the early concept design work for Jackalman I’d have to scroll through 30+ pages of material that at that moment I didn’t want to read. The comment I’d make with regard to the Guide Sheets is that, when these are opened up from the thumbnails, the text accompanying the images is really small, I’m unable to read them. Thinking about it, if they were displayed as part of a regular TCL webpage (with the logo, white space to write in, etc.), they wouldn’t be significantly bigger - but, this is just an observation I’d make.
The third and final comment I’d make is that, on the Guide Sheets page, on the bottom row of thumbnails (where there are just two images instead of three), the middle one doesn’t line up with all of the ones above it on that column, i.e. the gap between the first thumbnail and the second thumbnail is thinner than on the other rows.
Other than those comments, you’ve done a bang-up job there, Mark, great to see this material making it online in time for this update!

Thanks Chris, agree with all your comments. I’d like to size the images a bit bigger but chose that size so that nobody could get a high res copy of the files and start printing them or using them for crappy ebay merchandise. Wanted to get them up ASAP and don’t know how, nor have the right programs to do watermarking myself. I also don’t have the ability to easily resize the thumbs, and I’m not good enough with html to properly align the thumbs either.
It just takes me a hellish amount of time to do all the naming and sizing manually.
If someone has some sort of image software that can do resizing, can force the thumbs to stratch to a standard size and can watermark them all I would be very appreciative.
Kyle is understandably too busy to help at the moment so can someone else give me a hand? I’ve uploaded ALL of the guide sheets to the live site. It could really benefit from an expert to clean it up a bit for me. I’m hoping Manny F can work on this, what do you say Manny?

That’s a really good point, stupid of me not to have thought of that! smacks forehead You definitely have a valid point there, Mark, good call!
I was going to suggest that MannyF sounds like your man for this job - he’s been amazingly helpful assisting me with the Comic Section, where I’ve been working him like a dog, LOL! 
My suggestion would be to drop Manny a PM and see if he can provide any assistance - I don’t know about re-sizing, but I believe he does have some “batch watermarking” software!

I’m looking for some help on my section. Kyle has said he won’t have time in the next while to help me out with it so I’ve taken it upon myself to update my section but can only get it so far.
Where I need help is in two places:
- I uploaded a viewer script to two of my sections but the images themselves need some work. You’ll see on this page:

I don’t have a way of putting the watermarks on the pics, and don’t have any software or easy way of forcing the thumbnails or pics to fit a certain size (stretching/cropping etc). I’d like to:
a) Make the thumbs a standard size
b) Make the images themselves larger and a standard size (if possible)
b) As much as possible make the viewer take our branding and design (you could upload different looking ‘next’ and ‘prev’ buttons for instance.
I would like the images to be slightly bigger. If you’re able to do a resize that you think fits better without too much fuss, the full sized files are stored here:

I’d like to reformat the viewer here as well, like mentioned above. I’d like the image I’ve already uploaded to launch you to start the viewer and show all of the story pages (which would include the title page and pages 1-19 which have the story pages)
I also want to add thumbs for all of the pages that have images in the pilot materials, and have them also launch the viewer when you click on a thumb.
Could you let me know if you can help with this stuff?

With apologies for butting in on this subject yet again - Mark, could I refer you to a post I made in a seperate thread yesterday, after you commented on the positioning of the thumbnails on my “Promotional Materials” page - to quote myself:
Obviously I’m not suggesting you use that page, not least of all because the rest of it is a bit of a mess, LOL! But, if you take a look at the coding for it, it might give you some insight into how to create evenly-spaced thumbnails such as you’re after. Hope it’s of help, anyway, my friend!

I’ve put up another sub sub section in the Animation Art area. This is part of the Production Materials that I’ve been focussing my attention on. You’ve previously seen the Guide Sheets, the Pilot Materials and I’m sure you’re eagerly awaiting seeing the first set of storyboards that I’m going to scan soon.
Today I’ve posted what little concept art that I have images for.
Take a look. Chris, you’ll see that I’ve implemented some of the changes that you suggested, like the thumbnails and improvement to the pilot materials so that you take a look at the art right away instead of leafing through the script. I think it works better now.
