Sadly this is what I see happening a lot, I can’t really get into that type of competitive spirit… Who’s personality is crappy who’s isn’t, who’s smarter, who’s prettier, etc, they’re both just as beautiful (a dark beauty and a blonde one, a matter of preference some men/cats prefer blondes some brunettes) both are just as smart/knowledgable in different ways (Cheetara in the spiritual, Pumyra perhaps in some other area such as military) and Cheetara is more the quiet mysterious type and Pumyra is more of a brazen bold she-cat, I think they both are just as awesome I just prefer Cheetara.
Sad thing is, it’s not just our little fandom. When ever a new girl is introduced, threads/discussions like these become a must. I mean, I see that it’s a popularity poll, but lets not use it as an excuse to bash for the sake of bashing.I like Pumyra more, because I feel she has the more engaging personality. I also like the dynamic that is unfolding between her and Lion-O, which IMO, is important because her relationship with him (romantic or otherwise) will be explored. That’s how this show works. Bounds between others may be touched on, but Lion-O is the star:(
I already like her more, and if this episode is any indication, I will have more reasons to like her further down the road.
Please please please do not take Hammy and I’s comments as tearing each other down. Granted it obviously sounds that way if you come into the conversation later on, but read it from the beginning. It was just a bit of mutual humour based what I think you Americans call trash talk? What we here in England call taking the pi*s. It wasn’t meant in any malicious way between the two of us, and others who joined in I think on the whole got that. I apologise if I offended or caused any misunderstanding.
Same here. My whole thing is just a joke. I have stated it multiple times. I don’t really care who wins or not, I just thought it’d be funny to act insanely overcompetitive about who I voted for. Sincere apologies if I offended anyone.
I think what they both need is to be not associated with the royal brothers. Pumyra has a big personality so even if she and Lion-O end up together, she won’t be this “object of desire” character, unlike Cheetara who’s been nothing else since.
Ironically, in the OS she’s never had a relationship with any character but she was the “object of desire” of the audience. (I mean that’s what I heard, I’ve always been a puma fan 
)
The writers should try to play more with the cleric aspect, maybe throw in a new power like 6th sense or something to make her a vital part of the group again, instead of just being “the girlfriend Thundercat”.
As much as I like Cheetara, I haven’t realized that I stopped caring for her until Pumyra arrived.
Now if the both girls went on a mini mission or end up working together somehow, that’d be a treat!!
I don’t think they shouldn’t associate the girls with Lion-O and Tygra, but it would be great if they had some moments to themselves in future episodes.

In fact this kind of interaction creates a dynamic within the group that wasn’t in the OS. And surely, having Pumyra as Lion-O love interest would ensure a big time exposure for her which I’m totally up for. But why should every female character be considered a love interest for Lion-O in the first place? It feels like they are created only to have the boys mate with them.
Right now, I totally feel like Panthro in the last episode with all the flirting going around.
But Panthro flirts with the tank!

And fine, Pumyra can be Lion-O girlfriend as long as she doesn’t lose her wild side. :mad:
I dont see how you can take it any other way then a joke. People should learn to read it all through before they comment. Hate when the opposite happens.
Given what we’ve seen of her so far right now Pumyra being Lion-O’s love interest is completely secondary to her character. She’s there to shake up the dynamic and give Lion-O some of the grief he got from Tygra in the first part of he season. She also makes a lot of the impetuous choices Lion-O used to make so she often gets the group (or just Lion-O) into trouble. Lion-O’s newest job (as if he didn’t have enough) seems to be bringing out the best in her. Even if she does end up in a relationship with him she’s not the sort of person to give him a free ride just cause she thinks he’s cute and they like to make out, She’s still gonna give him hell whenever she wants.

He’s actually doing much better with Pumyra because he treats her as a person, not as a prize to be won. I know a lot of people interpret his line “Told ya I’d get us out” as Tygra-level smarmy flirting, but to me it’s him telling her that she can trust him.
Completely true. it seems like he’ll let her dictate the relationship more.
Gotta say all this heterosexist relationship stuff is unexciting but what’s one to do, this is CN. You know if the show was an anime, they’d have made Cheetara and Pumyra a couple and the brothers would have to go find themselves some warrior maidens instead! But then again, weren’t Nayda and Willa a couple too on the subtext level?
And suddenly I sound like a feminist lesbian but, I’m just a dude wishing 21st century animations were a bit LGBT friendly and matter-of-factly about it. Hopefully in 5-10 years.
