Would be so so so so awesome if Bernard Hoffer actually did the new version too. And where did you hear this?
I really loved the end theme to the original. Thundercats was the one show I would stay til the end of the credits just to hear that version of the Theme song.

I just showed my daughter the website and the action figures on the bandai site and she is so excited. Already she is begging me to buy her the Wilykit and Cheetara figures (she’s a girl so she only wants those two LOL) I told her I don’t know when the toys will come out but Christmas shopping this year is going to be so much fun!

Somebody told me that they’d been in touch with Bernie Hoffer and he’d revealed that they were going to be using his original theme for the new series, but that this was all they were going to be using of the music he composed for the original show. I can’t remember who it was who said this but I remember it was someone I regarded as a very reliable source! 
Also, I believe it was the WonderCon trailer, if you play it to the end you actually hear a brief excerpt of the original theme music, again with an orchestral sound to it!

I want to say it came from someone like Sonia Lai, who started up the original series soundtrack petition and who is friends with Bernie Hoffer, but truthfully I can’t remember for certain. I’m getting old!!

If anyone is interested they’ve added some clips from the premiere in the video section and Panthro now has a bio along with the others in the characters section.
