These spoilers are everything i feared. I was really hoping the love triangle issue would be dropped or at least be one of those things that Lion-O talked to himself about. But no, they had to bring it up again and make Lion-O behave in a way that made him look bad. Now i’m worried the next episode will be like the last two, where i read about what happened in them but certain parts made me hesitant to actually watch them, even though my curiosity makes me want to. Once again, i don’t think i can bring myself to watching the next episodes
Yes but remember, he misinterpented Cheetara’s support for the guy.
Can’t forget Lion-O is still a teenager. He’s only 17. He’s going to make mistakes and isn’t going to be perfect which is all to the better imo. Who wants a perfect hero?
And I’m glad it wasn’t completely dropped. I mean he just had his heart broken, is he supposed to just forget it and shrug it off like nothing happened?
I agree with Balgus, with the enormous cliff hanged ending in 13, it would have been very odd to not address the love triangle in SOME form in ep 14 ya know? I’m sure they won’t focus heavily on it for the remainder of the season. Man I want to watch this darn episode

Who said it did? Just because it has romantic subplot doesn’t mean it’s turning into a romance saga.
The show is just not turning blind eye on the subject, that’s all. ^^’

Did read the spoilers for the episodes, and I am expressing my opinion about the basic plot. The classic fan fiction Signal in the Sky handled the same action/story in the correct, truly adult manner, imho.

For crying out loud, plenty of good shows have done this and they remain interesting. A cliche can be overlooked if the story and characters are done well.
It is more like watching a train wreck: you are fascinated and horrified, all at the same time.

A cliche can be tolerable if everything else is done right. Besides, why would Lion-O let go of Cheetara kissing Tygra so fast? He is a teenager, he’s obviously going to be a bit of a brat. Of course he’s not going to let it go. And the Trials are just the thing he needs for a kick in the bleep.
It has. I still like how everything goes with how lion-o starts his training and how he trains. (Does the trials what ever.)
I’m ok with the love triangle thing going for a while, as long as it remains a secondary subplot, while it gets a closure.
What I’m afraid of is the trials episodes turning in some “see, I’m better than you” thing (from Lion-o to Tygra)… I know fulfilling the trials will give Lion-o confidence, and he’s suppossed to finally defeat Tygra in something, but it’d look really bad on him, as a king, to rub it in his brother’s face and use it to hurt his -already fragile- pride, and show Cheetara how he’s better… which would only get Cheetara mad at him.
Now, knowing Lion-o in these series, that behavour wouldn’t surprise me at all. But I’d like the trials to help him grow up rather than making him give a step (or two) backwards.
What if the trials will help Lion-O? Because really, this will make for good character development.
Yeah, I imagine Lion-O coming out of the trials not perfect, but having a level of maturity he lacks now. blank (I don’t know how to do spoilers) especially because of your own brashness- should change something about a person, at the least giving them a greater appreciation and respect for life, like thinking before acting and examining things from different perspectives (because the boy still doesn’t understand this). The group will probably be surprised, and it could lead to them getting to know one another better.
