I personally enjoyed it. I love the songs, the humor and the one shot character. But he sounds very familiar I got to say.
Slithor and I just saw it earlier and while the song is fairly long, it’s a good one overall.

Finally got around to watching some, and definitely love it. I am Big Mac fan. I suppose one day a great torrent of words will come pouring from his mouth, and we will discover that he is quite the intellectual. Has there been a Dark Horse? Someone here must know. I have not seen all the episodes.

Actually, they only appeared in Luna Eclipsed.
I saw the most recent one, “It’s About Time,” and thought that was kind of clunker. Once again, we have another episode where Twilight has to learn to not be so uptight and obsess over little details. Didn’t she learn that lesson already in “Lesson 0?” I don’t want to sound like a fair-weather fan and say the show is starting to go downhill after one so-so episode, but it’s generally not a good sign when a show starts to repeat itself, because it looks like they’re starting to run out of ideas.
I’m starting to understand now why Lauren Faust decided to leave. I remember reading somewhere that the biggest factor was that they (meaning the upper management at The Hub) wouldn’t allow her to have any conflict or fighting on the show. And to me, it was those episodes that had a central antagonist, like Nightmare Moon or Discord, that were the most interesting, and you could kind of tell those were the ones she was most proud of. But if they wouldn’t let her do more stories like that, I can see why she left and is now working on Super BFF’s instead.
Ah yes, that’s Hasbro’s doing. Granted, I still have faith but I’ll wait for the rest of the episodes and season 3 to see if anything happens such as a downward spiral.

Haven’t gotten the DVD yet. Waiting for a full-season release like Transformers: Prime.
I’ve been thinking lately that Hasbro themselves should be more deserving of fans’ wrath rather than, say, Michael Bay over stuff like the Transformers movies. I mean, they also signed-off on that upcoming Battleship movie that everyone thinks is going to suck because it already looks too much like Bay’s Transformers movies, plus that Candyland movie that Adam Sandler’s going to star in. So I don’t think Bay is as much to blame as it is Hasbro for apparent lack of concern over their own intellectual properties, putting making a buck over turning out a quality tie-in.
Bay is unfairly blamed for anything. They seem to forget that Hasbro does have a say in everything.
I’m starting to wonder if stories started to get dull after “The Grand Galloping Gala”. Maybe one of Twillight Sparkles former classmates at magic school could visit and mention how much she’s changed for the better.
I know rumor has it that Twilight Sparkle has a brother.

He’s getting married for a three part season finale.
The Marriage episode is a two parter, not three.
Lauren Faust left to work on other projects not because she was forced to do so.
I think that this season is just as good as the first. I don’t like the idea that season 3 might only have 13 episodes though.
I for one enjoyed the last episode, besides if Twilight stopped obsessing over little details, she would stop being Twilight.
Frankly I don’t see a decline in quality. The show is still pretty damn good, just not in the same form as Season 1. You can tell some of the direction the characters are being taken is different from the first season. But that tends to happen to all works that get that unexpected chance to expand further than intended.
And what Dragon78 is right, Ms. Faust left to pursue other work ventures. Let her do her thing. She isn’t the ponified godess the brony fandom puts her out to be.
On Hasbro having a say in things…well, most things they approve are pretty horrid. Be it the Bay movies or the MLP toyline. Let’s just hope Princess Cadence doesn’t become another addition to the list of bad decisions on Hasbro. I will believe in the writers, but in reality I don’t know what to make of the Cadence ordeal.
Shining Armor on the other hand, I look forward to him. I find the thought of Twilight having a brother really amusing. He may be part of what made Twilight actually befriendable. Her growing up avoiding friends, and her brother being one of the closest things she ever had to one.
But then again, he could’ve not been present through out most of her fillyhood. I’m cool with either take, though I prefer the former.
On the latest episode. I personally loved it. It was another take on Twilight’s OCD. xD

Sadly, while I love the concept of the Dark Horse, only fanfic has touched upon it. Be it as Luna’s male version of Nightmare Moon or as the villain in a rather awesome pre-show story telling the tale of young Luna, Celestia and Discord.

Just to let everyone know, the next episode is another Spike episode. Here are two small clips.
Ocelli and I saw it last weekend. Thought it was pretty good. At first I had thought Spike learned all he wanted to know about being a dragon in the episode where his hoarding instinct took over and he became full or nearly full grown. Then I remembered that by the end of that episode that he didn’t remember what happened when he reverted back to normal. Still, an interesting question was raised when one of the teenage dragons pointed out that he didn’t have wings. So maybe that could mean either they hadn’t grown-in yet, or maybe he’s a different type of dragon, like a wyrm or a wyvern?
Oh, I just got back from seeing my niece who’s 4, and guess what her favorite show is? Yep, this one! I also noticed she had a few toys with her: she had Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and a Princess Celestia. She said she also had Twilight Sparkle, but it was at home. She said that was her favorite next to Rainbow Dash. I told her she was my favorite too, and I had to explain to both her along with my sister and mom just what a Brony was!
