Wow that just sucks :cry I guess this is what happened to Bandai and they decided to pull out early and deal with their own properties like Power Rangers rather than put up with the complicated deal with Thundercats. By “complicated” they most likely mean someone at Warner Brothers is greedy :cry Very sad indeed. The Thundercats and the Four Horsemen were the perfect match

I still believe that Jaga and Grune were bumped because of all the delays they have ran into this year. I also think the nutjobs on he-man.org didn’t do themselves or us any favors running to the Better Business Bureau about the King HSSS fiasco.
I could respond with a really snarky remark to you but I wont as I said, I feel sorry for all you guys and angry at what Mattel has done.

Yeah, I’m not so excited about ordering Wilykit and Wilykat now. I feel duped.
DC licensed figures are $75, Marvel licensed figures are $80. Space Ghost and Star Trek figures are $70. The DKR Batman was $65.
The way I understand it is that their standard price for a One:12 is $65 + license fees. They have done a bit with their ThunderCats license and I can’t imagine it being as expensive as Marvel and DC figures… they will likely be $65 or $70 each… but they will have cloth costumes, loads of hands, heads, and other accessories… it’ll be marvelous! Just wait and see!

I think Mezco should miniaturize what they have (just retool the Lion-O). It doesn’t have to be a part of the One:12 line. It could be a brand new line but with the 1:12 scale. All the extra clothes are unnecessary for TC.
I’d rather have Everliving Mumm-Ra than Bengali and Lynxo. But Tygra and Cheetara would be nice.
I don’t know what you mean by “extra clothes”… Mezco’s One:12 Collective line is basically the 6" version of Hot Toys. Half the size and a third of the price. I’m thrilled with them. I haven’t seen any come with extra clothes though, just the normal costume they wear. And Mezco makes those from fabric, not molded plastic. The end result is quite brilliant. Tons of accessories always as well. Most have come with a flight stand as well as coming in collector-friendly packaging that can be used easily for good storage when not in use. I’ve stopped buying the $20-25 range Marvel Legends, Multiverse figures, etc… personally, I’d rather have 1/3 of the figures in my collection and have them be Mezco quality. I hope they end up doing ThunderCats like they’ve said!

It would be interesting to see the TC in tailored fabric. I hope the end result is organic and natural looking for a toon based line.
This is indeed disappointing, though to keep things in perspective, all this brouhaha is still about toys involving furry cat-people characters marketed for (mostly) grown-ups. That said, I had a shelf set aside for these figs, and had been dreaming of a modern in-scale Thundertank and Cat’s Lair.
Oh, well.
Not sure if I’ll keep my figs or sell them, but if the quality’s good, I may as well. They’re well sculpted and look like what most of us want a modern Thundercats line to look like.

All Matty Collector and all the people who work for it are, just conn men. That’s all they have ever been and all they will ever be. They lie to your face, tell you what you want to hear, pretend they are fans and care about the line and then they screw you at the first opportunity. Its like being in an abusive relationship with these people. There will be a special place in he** for each and everyone of them. No subscription required.
I’m just as disappointed as the next person…but don’t you think thats a bit much? yeesh.

Such disappointing news. I was really looking forward to seeing all the great Thundercat characters to come out in modern toy form. Just another day in the life of a Thundercat collector.

I urge all of the Mattel supporters to now rally behind Mezco. That’s is your best bet to get the main cast of characters at this point.

Perhaps, and I don’t know how familiar you are with Mattel, but they have been at this type of garbage for 8 years now. To say its very frustrating is an understatement.
I am still absolutely devastated…after all the updates on packaging…etc…fh and tc was perfect match…and to end it so suddenly…at this point it would take a real miracle to get anymore tc figs…

Go Mezco! Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, Snarf and both versions of MummRa already exist. If you let them know you want it I’m sure the kittens and Jaga are next. That’s how Tygra happened.
Me too…just gutted. I was so looking forward to even the possibility of Silverhawks, Tigersharks, etc. I still think we all need to tell Super 7 what we want. Who knows what could happen.
