Mattel Lion-o Arrival

Some MOTUC figures (He-Man and most of the female characters) had some strange head and face sculpts from certain angles.

Mine is in Fishers, IN at the shipping partner facility as of yesterday as of 5:33AM, so it should be here today or tomorrow if USPS picked it up from there.

I work like 15 miles from there!

bummer that the right hand is warped and the peg broken is not a good sign, overall he looks good but I wish their QC would fix these mistakes, heres hoping I get my shipping email soon.

I’m in Michigan. I see my packages go through Fishers often as well!

He’s here!

Looks like yours has no problem holding the sword in his right hand.

That last pic is AWESOME! Anyone else think the blade of the Sword is a bit broad/wide?

Gasp! Don’t say that! Otherwise you will be accused of nitpicking and not being grateful enough. Then your nitpick will result in cancellation of the line and that will cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe!

Ok, maybe I’ve been watching BTTF too much, but you get my point. But I do agree that the blade is a tad wide.

Forget the blade being a bit wide. Look at how bland boring and flat it is. It looks more like a LARP sword in that pic LOL. :roflmao
The clawshield still looks strange and too big.
Definitely not worth the price Mattel were asking or the scalper prices.

By BTTF logic, my comment about the Sword DID cause the cancellation of the line. There you have it folks; I did it. Sorry.

I still have a few days to go before I get my figures but I think the figure looks fantastic. Very happy to have grabbed a few subs. Even if the line doesn’t continue they will all fit in great with MOTUC. Oh wait…making any positive comments about this line could make people accuse me of being a slave to Mattel and just liking whatever they put out. If other people catch on and the line continues then we will continue to get awesome Thundercats toys and the people that want to hate this line at all costs heads will explode. Then Mattel/Super7 will be accused of murder. Forcing all the lines to cancel so they afford all the legal fees to combat the wrongful death suits.

Yep, you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t  I cant say this figure is perfect, but I’m still exited to get him. If the QC on mine is good, I’m happy.

That’s easily fixable though. All we need is a little Plutonium!

Nice try. Would have been better if you had come up with something original instead of reusing my concept. You know, unlike Mattel’s molds, unique and original ideas aren’t expensive and so don’t need to be ā€œre-tooledā€.

But jokes aside, I’m sure you know that there is a difference between ā€œnot likingā€ something and ā€œhatingā€ it. Just FYI, I don’t hate Mattel. I don’t like some of their products and some of their marketing strategies (notice the word ā€œsomeā€). So I state my opinions about the company and their products, which every consumer is entitled to do. As a sane human being, I totally understand that there are people who don’t share my opinion and I’m fine with that. My criticism has been towards Mattel and its products and not towards those who like or support them.

In contrast, people like yourself who do like Mattel and their products, feel the need to call names when talking with those who don’t share their opinions. Calling people ā€œungratefulā€ and ā€œnitpickersā€ and even wishing for their heads to explode?? Whoa! That’s a lot of hatred right there coming from someone who calls other people ā€œhatersā€. Think about that

wow.

To b fair, you have to admit Mattel has brought a lot of hate and complaints on themselves over the years with their questionable sales decisions, PR and marketing ploys.

Hopefully Super 7 can do a better job with MOTUC and Thundercats.

Ok I was just making a joke off of your joke. I didn’t call you a hater, nitpicker or ungrateful. I certainly didn’t say I wanted anyone’s head to explode. Maybe you should go back and read my comment. It was all in good fun and I completely respect and understand that people have differing opinions.

I believe the majority of Berzerker’s comments were sarcasm. Defensive, much?

Completely agree, Mattel mismanaged Matty and made some really odd/horrible choices over the years. Why I’m excited about Super 7 is because the are a smaller company of fans. They are going to want to make a great product so people buy their stuff. Mattel always had the attitude that they were a big company and Matty was a gift to fans. Therefore they did not allocate enough resources to make things better than they were.

I would like Super 7 to do away with the subscription method and have the figures available on their site for fans to by as they want them. If they do that and address certain flaws with the MOTUC buck I would even start collecting Thundercats and MOTU Classics again.
