Puh-LEASE! There WILL be a 2nd season! Only through loyalty to the show and believing in Omens will we be successful enough to find ourselves new topics to discuss. And new buddies too.
To be honest, I kind of had an idea that Lynx-O, Ben-Gali, and Pumyra were going to be introduced as a trio of traveling performers, who in reality were thieves, and (assuming they were the only ones left), decided to try and find recruits to rise against Mumm-Ra in an act of revenge and/or justice… yeah I was waaaaaaaay far off.:rolleyes:
But seriously a part of me felt that was pretty legit. (hey, I even hpothesized that if it was the case, Pumyra would be lot like her OS counterpart and use medical knowledge as an offense) But anyway since this is about Lynx-O…
In any case I feel that since he wasn’t at Mt. Plun-Darr, that there’s a good chance he might be hanging around with Ben-Gali, or that he found a place to call a sanctuary and has decided to take on an enlightened path, and begin to retrain and become much more keen in the art of combat. Now THAT could still happen. (not to mention going all Captain America with a shield… that would be sweet)
But that was just my two cents… and really long winded too.
I’m thinking that once Lion-O finds Lynx-O he’s become disillusioned, considering himself to be too old and blind to be of any use to his king. Maybe instead of staying to fight he fled the fall of Thundera to ensure the safety of someone he cared about (perhaps a lovely younger cat of some relation to him) and counts himself a coward and failure, fit only to live out his days as a hermit in the wilderness. It will be up to Lion-O to convince him that he still has much to offer not only as a fighter, but in wisdom and experience.
He could even just be in denial that he’s of any use to the group, and maybe feels guilty that the kingdom was overthrown in only about 2 days. It was revealed in a flashback that Claudus promoted him to General, so that would become a big factor in his responsibilities.
Maybe he was at the top of the watchtower because his blindness made him “useless” in battle but his record meant they couldn’t just get rid of him. So they put him someplace out of the way until he could retire honorably. Or die, y’know, whichever.
I don’t now about that. He was able to tell that the lizard army was coming better then the scout next to him with the finding glass.
Lynx-O is certainly not to be underestimated. He’s a ThunderCat.
This is a nice idea. I do hope to see Lynxo in the next season.
