I thought the episode was awesome… gave a lot of backstory. I thought the armor looked pretty cool, heck the stones of power have to kick it up a notch!
Did they ever actually say what was his girlfriend’s name was? Dare I guess Pumyra??? And she had to be 6+ feet tall too wow.
And lol it’s like Mumm-ra went to his litter box at the end.

Yeah, Mumm-Ra’s armor was cool as hell. Leo’s not so much but overall, I think this episode was great. Naturally, Mumm-Ra will get at least one of the gems so we’ll see his armored form again.
On the other quest for Lion-O, I’m thinking Lion-O won’t be able to unite all of the animals under him. It wouldn’t surprise me if there will still be some lizards, monkians, jackalmen, vulturemen, etc. still following the mutant leaders allied with Mumm-Ra. Hell, would it be surprising if there will be some thunderians following Grune? Either way, it would give united army Lion-O acquires something to fight.
And finally, on how the species became divided, I’m thinking that Leo actually had a united kingdom of animals when they crashed onto Third Earth. The split amongst the species happened much later in further generations. Probably with cats becoming too arrogant, and the other species wanting more power.
I wish they had answered just where exactly all the animal people came from. Were they genetically engineered? They’re all Earth based species, but I don’t think that they’re from Third Earth based on the ending. I hope those questions get answered.
Loved the episode but I agree with this, I thought we were going to see Lion-O experiencing someone else’s path with/against Mumm-Ra, it was disappointing that we didn’t get to know the real Leo and learn about the sword and stone’s abilities along with Lion-O through him and get a “new character” out of that and instead we essentially saw “our Lion-O” as Leo.
Still the history was awesome and I love how they’ve preserved the space-faring scifi aspect of the franchise.
Agreed Gold Lion, I hope they intend to tell us more.
What happened with the various races of “animals” sounds like it mirrored what has frequently happened in the real world: An oppressive dictator is overthrown, and the various sub-groups, unaccustomed to freedom, eventually fall into warring amongst themselves. Just like it happened in Vietnam, Yugoslavia, and Iraq*.
And if I was a better writer I could make a frickin’ essay about this.
(*I am NOT talking about U.S. involvement in any of these conflicts–I keep politics and religion out of fan message boards. I am just pointing out what happened once an oppressive-yet-unifying power was removed.)
So Mumm-ra didn’t want to fuse the 4th stone with the other 3? Made it seperate for a smaller arm? And it happened to be of a lion? Or was it always made for Leo but he was supposed to be with mumm-ra? I’ll go with that. I need to rewatch it.

He wanted to put the stone in the sword of Plun-darr and have the other 3 on his claw shield. He had every intention of using them all. The resistance made the Sword of Omens and gold claw shield for Leo to use.
He was going to put it in his own sword (the Sword of Plundarr), which plugged into his shield so it would have had some interaction/interface with the other three, but the cats decided to imitate his tactics. Also, the Thundercat insignia never appeared in the Eye as far as I could tell.
The music as Lion’s spirit was being pulled into the book of Omens and the music when the female Cat kissed Leo reminded me of Stargate.
Jaga’s voice as Lion-O enters the book sounded like Gandalf when we first heard him speak to Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli as Gandalf the White.
The forging of the Sword of Omens - reminded me of the reforging of Aragorn’s sword in Return of the King.

Why was Leo so short compared to the others?
So, Mumm-Ra’s pyramid isn’t a pyramid at all, it’s a diamond shape.
What was with the electricity engulfing the planet at the end and what was that other sphere in the sky also encompassed by the electricity?
Super Mumm-Ra and Super Lion-O? Meh. Gave Lion-O a tail.
I think it would be cool if Leo, as an act of trying to unify the species, gave the other three stones to three primary cultures.
So really, the ThunderCats are not from Third Earth at all. But who knows where they are really from. And there has to be more of them back on whatever planet the came from. You would think. So did the Cats then take on the name “ThunderCats” because of the stone of Thundera? And since “Thundera” does not originate with the ThunderCats, who does it originate with? Who were the people they stole it from?
I’m getting really tired of everything being centered on Lion-O. I would like more stories revolving around the other Cats as well. They’re so flat and dry and for this reason, I have not really enjoyed this series since the pilot episode. 
And I’m really getting tired of childishness of the lead characters. Tygra, “Well I’m older.” Lion-O, “Well at least I’ve got a girlfriend.” If I didn’t have hope to see this series improve, I would have stopped tuning in. The childishness like that worked fine for The Last Airbender, but it doesn’t work for these characters.
I was disappointed by the lack of time with Tygus. Again, all Lion-O centered. Thus flat. And to have none of them speak when Lion-O woke up - still the same thing.
I’ve been wondering - when is Tygra’s gun gonna run out of ammo?

The sword and the gauntlet were forged in that seemingly secluded area by what seemed like early clerics and the way it was portrayed it was clearly being done behind Mumm-Ra’s back.
Well, the childishness of the shows is pretty much the bits of light comedy we get amongst all the horrible situation and grimness…
On a random note, OMG!! Look look the sword! It’s being made by pumas, PUMAS!!! AHAHAHA! -insane fan cackle- (big fan of Pumyra if you can’t tell) (oh I like that female’s hairstyle)
Also, if you think about it, technology in itself is kinda like magic, think of all the things technology can do now. Now think about telling these things to someone long before our time, you’d be called insane or a witch! And there’s some supernatural elements, like with the stones, how are they so powerful and why? Which I also think it would be cool if all of the stones were spread amongst the animal species. (which is another awesome idea 
I wanna be a jackal person too!)
As for why Leo was so short…You know I’ve noticed all the lions seem to be slightly shorter than the other cats. Which is kinda weird because if they were going for relation of size in comparison to the cat of choice, Cheetara should be the shortest adult, and Tygra the largest, even larger than Panthro. Hm…I have no idea why they’re all short XD Maybe it’s a cheer towards us short people that even we can be awesome heros?

When Mumra was in his ship talking to leo(liono) you can see on the monitor multiple screens ans on the bottom left hand side you can see munstar from silverhawks, i had a geekgasm when i saw that…LOL

Don’t know what was starred out but that’s ok, I didn’t like Mumm-Ra’s at all.
Nah, weapon was already packed with the stones, if you look at it, it’s similar to the arms that the cats were making in secret, based off Mumm-Ra’s design. It seems that this stone was to be set in the melee weapon to empower the weapon while the other stones helped to create a superpowered armor. Like the smaller dormant phase sword, I suppose Mumm-Ra’s was short because it was in it’s dormant state.
If you watch when Leo puts the stones in the gauntlet, it’s those set 3 together, and then the separate ‘eye’ to empower and upgrade the sword.
Now WHY Mumm-Ra had his weapon designed that way? I have no idea. But the cats were making it in secret and copying the design.
First of all, Im 29 born in '82; im just glad to see Thundercats get a second wind. “Legacy” i enjoyed the episode, it was new for todays youth. I enjoyed the story, as with folk tales; many original facts are lost in translation but the essence at its core remains the same. I have a 6 yr old an a 3 yr old at home an they get to watch Thundertcats; is that not whats important? or shall this series go the way of the He-Man reboot a few years back? Plus i loved the MonStar Cameo!! I still have my Silverhawks Lunchbox, an i wouldnt trade it for no less than my kids college tuition! Finite details be damned, the Thundercats are back; cant we all celebragte that!!
