Game: ThunderCat Trivia

I completely forgot about the Molemen. If you had asked me, “Did the Molemen tie up Tygra?”, I would have said no!

Okay, next question:

When the ThunderScope is introduced, Lion-O and Snarf demonstrate two of its settings, or modes. Later, Mumm-Ra demonstrates another. What are these modes? Or, rather, what can we assume they are based on what they do?

Honestly, I’m flexible on this one. I just think it would be fun to talk about.

BUMP

Any takers?

Zax, maybe you can change your question?

Personally, I don’t know the answer, but can’t speak for the others  (they might just have forgotten about this thread).

Hmmm. Okay, how about this? Same question, just simplified.

What does the ThunderScope do?

The Thunderscope helps its user to locate lost Thunderians and their belongings and is used in the eponymous episode to locate the Treasure of Thundera. Did I get it right?

I think so, Wilycub. Had I read the question earlier, I’d have said almost the same.

But let’s wait for Zax’s veredict. If you’re right, then it’ll be your turn to post a trivia question

That’s right. We never actually see it used to find pieces of the Treasure, but that’s all they ever talk about using it for in the episode.

In case anyone’s interested, the answer to my other version of the question, concerning the Thunderscope’s different modes, is as follows:

• One mode where inanimate objects from Thundera (the Flagship) glow
• Another mode where living things from Thundera (Lion-O and Snarf) glow
• And a third mode, sort of like Sight Beyond Sight, that shows nearby things from Thundera (Lion-O and Snarf flying the ThunderClaw, as seen by Mumm-Ra).

Your turn, Wilycub!

Thank you. Ok, here’s my question. It’s a pretty easy one:

“Which villain in the Thundercats can only be defeated by NOT directly looking at him?”

I’m fairly sure the answer is Mongor.

You are correct “Lady Ocelli”! What do we have for her, Johnny?

JOHNNY: Well with our budget, the only thing we can afford to give her is the chance to ask the next trivia question!

LOL I’ll sleep on it and post something after work.

Name the 2 mercenaries and the first episode each one shows up in.

Not entirely sure, but is it:

  1. Driller - Spitting Image
  2. Capt. Shiner - Thundercats HO!

Capt. Shinner’s first appearence was “Sword in a Hole”.

Wasn’t that thief who looked like a green methalic turtle (Cracker?) a mercenary as well? If so, he’s first appearence was in “Mandora, Evil Chaser”

LOL I never thought Driller was a merc. I thought he was more like Mumm-Ra’s lackey because he needed diamonds from the Ever Living for his drill bits.

TR was correct about “Sword in a Hole” being the first one Shiner shows up in.

I think Driller qualifies as a mercenary. But if you’re looking for another one, I’d say the Inflamer is a mercenary, too, especially since Lion-O refers to him as such: “The Sword! Give it up, mercenary!”

So far, TR has the first correct character and episode. Zax has the second character. If TR posts the episode where we first see the Inflamer, he’ll be up next.

If Zax posts both characters and episodes, it’s his turn.

Cptn. Shiner: Sword in a Hole
Inflamer: All that Glitters (I think he appears in another episode where is not addressed by his name, but don’t remember if it was before or after ATG… I think ATG was first though).

TR you’ve got it and you are next.

Ok, I’ll think of a really good one (really busy at work right now to even think lol).

Here it goes. There’s one episode where a sort of female Mutant makes an appearence. Mention the epoisode, the female mutant’s name, her species (if she ever got one) and who she really was.

Marvelous Merna—if only she were real! In “The Circus Train”, WilyKat disguises his voice as the “galaxy’s most talented mutant” to lure Monkian and Jacklaman into a trap. I can’t remember if they ever specified a species for Merna. She sounds fishy to me, though. A mer-mutant! An ichthyor!
