Game: ThunderCat Trivia

It is indeed! :thumbsup You’re up, Zax.

All right, here’s a new one. Kinda weird, but hey, bottom of the barrel here.

Over the course of the series, we see three distinct types of handheld fire extinguishers. What are they, and in what episodes do we see them?

Confession: there might be a fourth. I have a vague memory of one more scene featuring fire/smoke that I can’t put my finger on. But there are at least three!

ETA: Specified handheld, as opposed to vehicles capable of firefighting.

Great question, Zax! I had trouble thinking up even one such device. LOL! But I managed to remember one. It’s in the ThunderClaw and Cheetara uses it to put out the fire in the upturned ThunderTank in “ThunderCats HO!” Part 3.

Oh, interesting. Now that you mention it, the ThunderClaw and the Feliner both have firefighting capabilities—the Feliner uses water to put out the forest fire in “The Mad Bubbler”.

But I’m looking for instances of handheld fire extinguishers—big cylinders that spray things. I’ve amended the question. [emoji51]

That’s a very tough one. I have to give it some thought.

If it helps, all the ones I’m thinking of (three, arguably four) are in the later post-Ho! seasons.

Might be that! Not a fan of the latest episodes, even less of the New Thundera ones (in part because I didn’t like that idea and that plotline and in part because Tygra wasn’t there LOL)

Similar story for me. LOL! :biggrin As a child I only had like 30 episodes from the first season on VHS and I used to watch those over and over. So I struggle with any question related to later episodes.

Likewise. I only ever saw the first season here in the UK, I don’t believe any episodes from the later series were even aired here.

OK, I remembered one. I believe in “Leah” Snarf and Leah use fire extinguishers to cover all the mirrors in Cats Lair.

Yep! This is the most prominent one. The others are a little trickier. If no one else pops in to offer them, I’ll give you the win, Wilycub. [emoji846]

Is Panthro in “Day of the Eclipse” one of them?

“Day of the Eclipse” is one of them! But it’s not Panthro who’s fighting a fire.

I was pretty sure it was that episode. ¿Tygra? LOL

A few days have gone by, so here are the answers:

• “Leah” – Foam fire extinguishers used to put out a fire in the control room and to cover the mirrors
• “Cracker’s Revenge” – Gas fire extinguisher, ridden by Cronan like a rocket to escape Way-Out-Back
• “Day of the Eclipse” – Water fire extinguisher, used by Cheetara in the Lair control room
• “ThunderCubs Part II” – Water sprayer (so probably a fire extinguisher?) in the Feliner cockpit used by Snarfer to douse Snarf’s hysteria

Wilycub and Tygra_Rules, you each got one, so I’ll let the two of you hash out who should go next. [emoji846]

Sorry this one was so tricky!

I think Wily should take it as I only guessed 50% of mine.

@thezaxfactor Thanks for the answers, Zax! I never would have managed to guess them with my poor knowledge of the second season. But I did have a feeling that one might be in “Cracker’s Revenge”. Those Overgard written episodes always have weird stuff in them! LOL!

And please don’t apologize for coming up with a tricky question. I wish I could do that! I think it’s great that you manage to come up with new and interesting questions after all this time. While not technically a fire extinguisher, maybe this could have been a bonus answer as it is also “putting out a fire” LOL!

@Tygra_Rules Thanks, TR!

Okay, here’s the new question: Name the two different salts that appeared on the show and the episodes in which each was shown.

Wily’s right, Zax! Tricky questions are good and welcome! They challenge us!

As for Wily’s new question, a new challenging one! I’ññ have to give it a thought.

Okay, good! I just hate seeing this thread petering out, and I worry that difficult questions might be contributing to that. [emoji53]

I can only think of one, so I hesitate to answer. Can I ask, are both named, or is one just seen? The one I’m thinking of was named in dialogue.

Both are seen. But I’m curious to know, which one are you referring to that is only mentioned in dialogue?
