Yeah, I can picture them. It’s Cheetara facing off against Monkian in “The Doomgaze” and giant Snarf fighting them all off in “The Wolfrat”! I just can’t remember the episode. [emoji848] Whenever it is, Mumm-Ra is almost certainly lecturing the mutants on how incompetent they are…
Me too! I have the image in my head!
You’ve got every detail right, you just haven’t identified the episode
Come on!
“Mechanical Plague”?
Nope.
No hints?
It’s “The Mumm-Ra Berbil”! I initially discounted it because I forgot that the Mutants appear in the opening scene.
That’s the one! Yes, the Mutants’ appearance in that episode is a bit pointless, just shoehorning them in for the sake of it. I wonder if that’s why the character of Ma-Mutt was created, just to give Mumm-Ra someone to talk to without bringing in other characters so gratuitously.
Your turn Zax!
Ha! I mean, he talks to himself plenty. I‘ve often wondered which came first, though—Ma-Mutt’s creation and design for “ThunderCats Ho!” or the Ravage toy…
Okay, new question:
The tunnel that the ThunderCats take through the Forest of Mists is the primary passage into Dark Side that bypasses the thundrainium pits and Fire Rock Mountain, but there’s another! What is it?
Apparently, air, as Skytomb didn’t have any problem to fly over to the other side LOL
Ha! I mean, I agree that it’s rather silly—logically, the Cats could approach from the other side of the planet, or from orbit, but they don’t.
I’m looking for a passage that we actually see them utilize in one episode, but never again.
Yeah I got your question. I wa sjust kidding :cool
I know I have seen that other way to get to it, but don’t remember it right now.
Anybody want to venture a guess here? I’ll offer a hint—they never go this way again, because it gets sealed off near the end of the episode.
Can’t think.
Is it through the Valley of Chains?
Yep! And the ice cave that leads to the Valley of Chains. It felt like a significant discovery, but then they sealed off the cave. [emoji3525]
You’re up, Wilycub!
Thanks, Zax! :thumbsup Here’s a new question:
What two creatures were mentioned on the show (in separate episodes) but never appeared on-screen?
Good one, Wily! Get to give it a good thought!
Thanks, TR! ![]()
Not sure if these are the two you had in mind, but…
- The Miggit Swarm Monster (mentioned in “Mandora the Evil Chaser “)
- Wallies (mentioned in “Locket of Lies”)
