Ayep. It’s one of my favourite corny-ThunderCats scenes ever. Snarf gets all moaney and Lion-O just sums it all up with something about a joke being funny until the joke’s on you.
Thanks for waiting because I wanted to do a good one.
There are 8 episodes that feature the Warrior Maidens. How many can you name?
Bonus: There’s one where they’re seen but not heard.
I’m assuming bonus means a ninth episode?
- Trouble with Time
- The Garden of Delights
- The Fireballs of Plun-Darr
- The Thunder-Cutter
- Lion-O’s Anointment Second Day: The Trial of Speed
- Out of Sight
- Lord of the Snows
- Spitting Image
Yes, so far you’re on the right track. One of the remaining ones should be an easy one for Cheezey since she wrote 2 fanfic sequels to it.
Actually that brings the total to 10 because I forgot about “Garden of Delights” :duh:
- Lion-O’s Anointment Final Day: The Trial of Evil
- The Mask of Gorgon
To answer Nick’s question, The Tower of Traps.
I know this one, he was fakling it. It’s “Eye of the Beholder”, when they made a fake sword of omens.
Seems that there’s a link between the Warrior Maidens and Tygra… 4 eps out of 8 where they were present had him as the “main” character (besides Lion-O, that is).
Nope, that is not correct. My answer of “Trapped” is the correct episode. In “Eye of the Beholder” Snarf was chased by Jackalman until he reached the river of despair. Rather than allow Jackalman to capture him, Snarf jumped in the river before Lion-O arrived to rescue him. That’s why Snarf got all wet in that episode.
In “Trapped,” Lion-O was swimming and trying to get Snarf to come in, then played his mean trick of pretending to have a cramp to get Snarf to come in. Right after that the sword of omens warned him that the Thunderkittens were in trouble.
Hhhmmm… guess you’re right, given that you’re so sure about it lol. I might have confused eps then.
I thopught it was “Eye of teh Beholder” because:
a) the episode was about things not always being what they seem to be (like Lion-O wasn’t really drawning),
b) it was one of those Snarf’s “I feel so useless and everybody mocks me” episodes, so they made that fake sword to make him feel important, and
c) Snarf got a cold for being in the water (and I thought he jumped into the water to rescue Lion-O).
I’ll double check #7 and/or add an 11th slot because there’s another one I’m thinking of and it’s part of a 5 part arc.
Wow that was a blink and you’d miss it moment so #7 an extra bonus;
What’s the last one I was thinking of?
Well I just looked through all the episodes of the 5 part arc’s and couldn’t find it. I do have another to had though…
- The Telepathy Beam
LOL do you remember the one where the Thundercats destroyed Mumm-Ra’s pyramid on Third Earth? Or at least they thought they did.
My bad. I was thinking Thundercubs was the last 5 part arc.
- Return to Thundera Pt 1

You got it WHOOHOO
You’re turn Code
These 3 images come from the same episode…

- Name the episode.
- Explain what is happening to Snarfer in the left image.
- Explain why Wilykit is holding the Sword of Omens and why everyone is reacting the way they are in the center image.
- Explain what is happening to be blinding Wilykit and Lion-O in the right image.
- List which ThunderCats come to their aid towards the end when Lion-O summons the Eye of Thundera.
- “Totem of Dera”
- Jaga wraps Snarfer in his cape in order to communicate with him.
- Kit has the Sword because Lion-O has been poisoned and unconscious. The mutants are shocked and Kit is smiling because Snarfer has just healed Lion-O with the Totem, and he’s back on two feet.
- I’m not sure, but I’m guessing that it’s either Mumm-Ra materializing, or Mumm-Ra using the Totem, combined with his own magic, on the Baleful Swamp.
- Panthro, Cheetara, and Tygra show up in the Tank.
I would have answered more quickly, but I rarely visit the boards from anything other than my iPod, and for some reason your embedded images don’t show up in MobileSafari. It must be something about how the boards format the embed. ![]()
Yes! In the right image, they are covering their eyes from the rays of the Totem of Dera as Mumm-Ra uses it to create a swamp monster.
I very much liked this episode. I thought it was one of the best ones they did. ![]()
If I remember well, Wilykit has a much larger role than her brother in this episode, right? Wonder if they did that to balance what happened in “The Shifter”.
It was a great episode and I would have liked to see it again on YouTube.
Ah well, I should look at it as an incentive to check my local Record & Tape Trader for the DVD’s .
I’ve been waiting for the next question, and I just realized it’s mine to ask! Here we go:
Why don’t ducks fly upside-down?
Was this a joke told by one of the characters in the show?
