Forum member Nick Mills... :)

Chris here…

Hey Manny, great job with getting the interview online, fantastically done!

At a later date, perhaps when ThunderCats Lair 3.0 gets launched, I’d like to see them placed in here: http://www.thundercatslair.org/cartoon/about/articles/index.html - either that, or start a subsection devoted exclusively to interviews, which might also be a cool idea! However, for now it’s fine where it is…

In terms of threads about Nick that may or may not need to be removed, unlike with Angie I don’t think there’s ever been anything really contentious stated about Nick, but a couple of threads I’m aware of are:

http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2570&highlight=Nick+Mills (Nick offered to contribute to ThunderCast and we briefly discussed this)
http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2756&highlight=Nick+Mills (we talk about censoring one of Nick’s post, perhaps for bad language or inappropriate content? I must confess I can’t remember now what that was about…)

In the case of all of these threads, particularly ones that may contain useful info such as the top one, could I suggest that they be “soft deleted” rather than permanently purged from the forums?

Looking forward to having Nick on the team!

Take care…

Actually, while I was trying to figure out where exactly to put the interviews, I noticed how many feature and article sections we have! Couldn’t we just have one main section for features and another one for articles for a more streamlined layout? I must’ve missed the section you pointed out Chris otherwise I would have just put it there. It makes sense anyways. This is just my opinion and I definitely don’t mean to offend anyone (look at it as constructive criticism ;)), but it’s really complicated trying to get around the the Cartoon area.

Chris here…

No offence taken - however, with no offence meant on my part either, I’ve got to be honest and said I wouldn’t have thought it was that complicated - when Kyle & I put the revamped Cartoon Section together, it was from the perspective that everything would have a logical place, as opposed to the kind of mish-mesh that you find on other ThunderCats sites…

When I try and find something on Angie’s (Purrsia’s) site it can take me ages to find it because everything gets lumped into one area. The way our Cartoon Section is laid out, everything is in what I would consider to be the logical place, divided up into four sections - About the Series (so, anything relating to the origins or behind-the-scenes production of the show), Cartoon Guide (information about the cartoon series’ storylines and events, including the Episode Guide [for episodes], Encyclopedia [for characters], plus misc articles about anything relating to same that doesn’t fit in either of the above), Animation Art (Mark’s autonomous section), and Special Features (basically anything that doesn’t fit into any of the previous subsections).

So, whilst I understand where you’re coming from, Manny, for me the Cartoon Section layout is about as good as it’s going to get given the diversity of material we’re trying to present.

Take care…

Back on-topic - Nick’s done another fabulous interview, with some questions I came up with and a bunch he came up with himself, this time interviewing Bernard Hoffer!

I won’t link to it as I’ll let Nick do that for himself, but believe me, it is a five-star interview!!

Out of curiosity, has there been any further movement formalising Nick’s membership of the TCL team?

Take care…
