One of the biggest factors that led to the cancelation of MOTU 200X and Young Justice was that Mattel screwed up the toylines. Neither sold very well.
In MOTU 200X’s case it was Mattel’s utter stupidity of messing up the selections of figures per case. After the first series of figures kids and adults found it extremely hard purchasing other characters for their collections. Each was loaded with He-Man and Skeletor variants instead of new characters. In the 2-3 years the cartoon and toy lasted they made 20 variants each for He-Man and Skeletor. o_O What kid would want Teela, Ram-Man, Man-E-Faces, Evil-Lyn, Trapjaw or Whiplash when the could have Laser, Ice-Armour, Ninja, Martial Art, Samurai, Snake Hunter, Mech Blade, Jungle, Flying Fist, Mega Punch, Battle Sound…He-Man?

The MLP movie will have the voices of Kristin Chenoweth, Emily Blunt, Michael Pina, Uzo Aduba, Liev Schreiber, Taye Diggs, and Sia Furler.
Along with the regular casts voice.

that’s because it’s a POPULAR tv show. It’s going to keep getting bigger as long as the series continue to air. That’s just how it is with things. You also need to remember when MLP first came out it was on Hasbro’s own TV channel and episodes were then posted all over the internet for more people to watch, which includes youtube.
Warner brothers owns the right to Thundercats and they HATE youtube. You cannot post episodes of thundercats on youtube which cuts down on more people seeing the series. Youtube is a very popular website where MOST people go to watch cartoons. If you cannot watch a tv show on there most people won’t exactly look elsewhere and thus NOBODY will be exposed to said series. So if you want to complain about MLP being popular and why the reboot WASN’T you can thank WB for it.
It’s not just that, let’s not forget imageboard sites like 4chan and booru with memes and artwork!
Thundercats deserve more than that! The 2011 series deserves a continuation.
I don’t think it deserves it. A finish to the story would be nice for the fans. But as opposed to the people that created the series do they deserve it? No. They had their chance to do something cool with 26 episodes and they utterly wasted it with filler episodes not even related to the main story. Most of what happened in episodes 1-14 could have been done in a few episodes at the start.
It’s just not going to happen. The petition didn’t work so it’s very likely nothing else will.
At this point I think it is safe to say that Thundercats 2011 is the same as the Voltron 2011 series cartoon. A failure. WB need to get their act together and do a new show.
