I just scanned through it, too, and confirmed my fear: it’s one of the deleted scenes not present on the DVD. In the original version, though, Jaga confronts a group of reptilians in a corridor of the Flagship, throws out his arms, and asks, “Where is your leader, that wretch, Slithe?” It’s on the TCL YouTube Channel, if you want to take a look:
Interesting! I never interpreted it that way. It does make sense that Slithe would utter that line out of surprise or sudden enlightenment, rather than simply to educate Jackalman. Then again, it could be Leonard Starr trying to help out an audience during a pilot (i.e. Remember those arcane things we introduced earlier? Here they are again, by name, just in case you missed them!).

Oh, that’s why then. Thank you. But I still wonder, if the noble TCs didn’t know about the Eye, or knew about it just as a myth, how did all the previous Lords of teh TCs summoned them when in need for help?
Also, did mutants enter suspension capsules as well? How did they survive all those years in space without aging? And, if they entered suspension capsules, how did they manage to track and follow the TCs ship?
ETA: I just saw the scenes and realize again (I noticed it when a kid too, but I forgot about it) that the TCs were naked at the beginning, all but boots on their feet. What was that for? And then Tygra and Wilykit even got barefeet boots… kind of illogical.
Also, I think the TCs must have been the first animated series to show ships exploding, thus meaning people dying / being killed.
what I always wondered is why they had lines at the top of their legs crotch like they were wearing underwear even tho they obviously weren’t. lol
anyway they were all naked because as Jaga said they didn’t need protective armor on Thundara. Even though that honestly doesnt make sense because not only do we see thundarians with clothes in flash back scenes and everything we’re also led to believe that Thundara was a pretty dangerous planet with those giant scorpions and everything else they have to face there.
As for the mutants. I suspect they had their own “robot pilot” and didnt need anyone to drive their ship because it wasnt damaged like The Thundercats’ ship was.
Yeah good spot about the clothes on the flashback ones! classic screw-up there! Maybe the core thundercats we saw in exodus were just ‘naturaists’ I believe the scene where we see the 3 new thundercats escaping thundera their wearing clothes too!
If you recall there was a series called the anointments where Lion-o had to go through a series of tests with the other Thundercats where he had to beat them at their own strength. Pantro strength chetara speed tygra mind kit and kat cunning. Perhaps Cladius failed his tests and was deemed unworthy to weild the sword so Jaga became the keeper until a time when Lion-o was of age to weild it. That would explaine why Jaga had it and the only time it was shown used by Cladius was when Jaga was holding it as well. Thank you please give your thoughts on this theory.
