To put it simply. I was never in favor of a live-action movie. It just won’t work.
Lets all be honest here. If there was a live action movie they would NEVER be faithful to the source material. They’d get some idiot director who wants to show “his vision” or some stupid crap like that.

To be completely honest I’m much happier with the news of a new series than I would be with a movie. Don’t you all think 13 hours of Thundercats is better than an hour and a half?
Of course:thumbsup:, still something inside me tells me the New Series is going to be like a crash test for an impending Thundercsats movie..Besides 52 episodes would last only for 2 seasons, after that provided the cartoon’s success something bigger lies on the horizon.I strongly believe the New Series will pave the way for a CGI-Avatar style Thundercats movie in the future.
If the fans love it, from every aspect, i don’t see why WB wouldn’t decide on making this move
The more the better is my theory. I’d like 13 hours of cartoon series AND an hour and a half movie. If it is successful enough to have a movie, then we can hopefully expect the series to stick around for a couple years.
52 episodes, 2 seasons, it seems to me they will pass in the blink of an eye…after 25 years of drought we deserve more!!
