There is a lot of movie based games that did not have the film actors’ voices.
Having said that most movie tie in games are pretty bad. But there are a couple notable exceptions where the video game is quite good and fun to play.
I’m really not that into video games these days. I was a big Nintendo fan when I was younger. The last console I owned was a “Super NES” but that was back in the 90s. It had some of the best games ever, in my humble opinion. 
Nowadays I just look at the new controllers and I get scared! They have over two dozen buttons and even an octopus would have a hard time pressing them all!. LOL! 
I had a NES. then got the PS1, PS2 then the PS3. All I have now is my PS3 and a few games. I don’t really play it much, I just use it as a DVD player and for downloading shows and films. What games I do tend to play on it are older classic games like Sonic, Castlevania, Street Fighter etc. 
Interestingly enough I found out this week that the original PlayStation was designed to be an add on for the SNES to compete with the CD attachment for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive. But due to some financial loop hole Nintendo pulled out of the deal so Sony ended up releasing it by itself and competing with Nintendo.

I stopped playing video games before the release of PS so my last console was SNES. I only had a few games and I played them so often that I became very good at them. Nobody could beat me at “Street Fighter II”! I had won that game with every one of the characters and seen all of their different endings. 
I had also found every single level on “Super Mario World” (I think there were 100+). Another of my fav was “A Link to the Past” which in my opinion is the best Zelda game till date.
I have never really played a Zelda game on a console. I tried them on emulators on the PC but playing old console games on a PC just isn’t the same.
My favourite NES game was Mario Bros., the first and only NES game I completed.
I was never really much of a gamer. I had my NES for years. I got the PS one in 98. It got quite a bit of use. I only got a PS2 out of luck. In 2004 when I was at College studying art, there was a bit of a mix up with my grant and on the last week or two before we finished the course I got a check for £300+ so I went and treated myself to a PS2. Sold it in 2008.
I got a PS3 in 2011 as pretty much all my friends moved away and it was really just away we could still play online together now and them.
I also liked the Thundercats Bandai line and agree with you.
